Corduroy & Teddy

Ah, winters in Philadelphia. They make it a little tough for fashion—especially with all the rain and the wind. Not to mention it’s difficult to commit to one aesthetic for a week when it dips below freezing for a few days then inexplicably transitions to springtime for a few hours. Layering is key, but when I’m looking for something a little less complicated, I stick to warm fabrics. In this particular case, I paired a corduroy top with a teddy coat.

Zara Corduroy Top | Vintage Jeans | Fendi Cowboy Boots | APC Half Moon Bag | Faux Shearling Teddy Coat

I highly recommend picking up a teddy coat of your own if you don’t already have one: however, men on the train, on the street, etc. will likely use it as a reason to try to talk to you, as the fact that the fabric appears to be woven from the pelts of fallen teddy bear brethren. “How many Paddingtons did you kill to make that?” “Does it feel like a warm hug?” And so on, and so on.
